Lidar values now complete.

The 13er list is now fully adjusted to Lidar values for all 13ers and to List of John. We have included cross references to old elevations to help users keep better track of their ascents. See our Home page (Things You Should Know) for more details.

Peak Summary

LIDAR technology has demoted this summit from "ranked" status, (prominence of 276 ft.) however, UN13,509 combines easily with Trico Peak, T.10 and Telluride Peak (which is now ranked) from Black Bear Pass. UN13,509 by itself is an easy Class 2. Though UN13,509 can be reached by the ridge connecting Trico and UN13,509, a section of that ridge north of the Trico summit goes at a solid 3rd class with some exposure. To keep this climb at Class 2 level, a little extra driving in a 4WD vehicle helps.

“Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.” Thomas Jefferson
